Just thought I'd post my progress on Holly's bag.
I like the beads - the more stuff going on the better as far as I'm concerned.
And I LOVE the FF fun part, and HATE the inner bag part. I'm going to have to figure out something a bit more workable for the next bag I have planned and that I've been collecting yarn for: a cylinder shape in deep greens and pinks for my older daughter. I've been noodling around different options for the inner bag construction including felting two layers together over some sort of a stiff middle layer, perhaps rug yarn canvas... I'm not a felter so I have no idea how this will work - just going to go out and get the canvas and some roving and give it a go.
Oh, and I also discovered SILK!!! Oh my goodness gracious - where the heck have I been all these years. This stuff is gorgeous enough to stop your heart and I MUST HAVE IT ARGHHHHH. What in heavens name I'll do with it I have no idea, maybe I can sort of spin some on my lovely rope spinning spindle and then knit it into the FF somehow. I wonder if the stuff needle felts??? I don't even know what to order... top, hankies, throwsters waste??? But I have to get something just to play around with it. I need to work it into Chan's bag somehow... Sigh. My vices are getting expensive.
