Jungle Love Is Done...

...well almost.  I want to add some brown tendrils.  Wire wrapped with stiffened ribbon ought to do it, I hope.  But my dad went back into the hospital yesterday, so my day was cut up with visiting and shopping and I didn't get to play with my new Stiffy

And yes Lalheg, the branches are made of Tyvek, painted with Jacquard Lumiere and fabric paints (which I'm madly in love with), then heated until it shrank and bubbled.  Then I stitched it to Kunin felt and singed the edges of the felt.  Voila - branches!

And I know there probably aren't hosta's in the jungle, but I liked the fabric.  And the photo's are different colors, because for some reason, my camera started flashing while I was taking these shots.  Same place on the tree, same lighting.  Who knows.  Telephones and cameras always throw me.

Beautiful, I really love the way you get the fabric and the freeform to "speak" to eachother. And I´m really in awe over the dangling leaves.perfect form.

That is awesome!

Oh such ultra gorgeousness! Amazing that I guessed right. I've got an ancient bottle of Stiffy stashed away - now you've made me wonder what I can do with it. Thanks for being so inspiring as ever
