Whoo Hoo!!! I've been tagged, by Rita at Celtic Harp and Drum!!! Thank you Rita! And yep, I'm a virgin - this is my first time, so be kind... okay?
THE RULES: Each player of this game starts with the "6 weird things about you.
People who get tagged must blog 6 weird about themselves as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says ‘you are tagged’ in their comments and tell them to read your blog.
Okay, here goes. And I hope you all will still read me after you know these things.
1. I am one of the rare Native New Yorkers - I was actually born in Manhattan.
2. I really DO like action films and I'm not just saying this. Anthony and I have been together for almost nine years and I've long got past the stage when I'd fake that sort of thing.
3. I sing show tunes. And I don't even have to be drunk.
4. I've been scuba diving in freezing water - 28 degrees to be exact. On purpose to get my dry suit certification so we can go diving under the ice in Antarctica.
5. I've been a Private Investigator - Insurance Fraud, and I got to go on stakeouts and catch people with back injuries bowling and lugging bags of groceries. Yes, the insurance companies actually DO check up on people - so if you're injured - act that way. I also once interviewed a dog.
6. I celebrate a make-believe holiday called Tottenget, which is the Festival of Potato Magic. My daughter Holly conceived it, after playing a practical joke on a friend involving various potatoes and potato products. My daughter Chan embraced nurtured, and embellished it. It's celebrated at Harvest time, the third weekend in September. We eat all sorts of potato dishes, do the Mashed Potato and and play Hot Potato (hence the name of Chan's children's knitwear design company) We've been doing it for six years.
Weird enough? There's more, but the rules specifically say six things and I don't want to look too entirely nuts.
I'm tagging:

Came back from my vacation today. I saw your Tag on my blog, so I have to tag someone else.
It's going to take some time before I can find anything weird about me NOT

I love the idea of Tottenget. I'm sure if I bounce this one off my kids they will join right in. BTW I have a marvelous recipe for Potato Cheese Soup.

Enjoyed your fresh honesty!
I've been to Manhattan for a couple weeks and loved it!
Just getting into knitting. Bought my first yarn today! My cats keep tossing it off the bed.
I've been creating purses and fiberart landscapes. Need to do something creative during lunch. Knitting is the best avenue... don't you think?
