One-Line Bio

I try and keep my face to the sun and get up when I fall down, usually less than gracefully.

Though it's usually best to start at the beginning, this way works better for me.

At one time or another, I have been a:

professional R&D baker
print production manager
in-ground pool, heavy construction manager
stained glass artist
internet development director
fertilizer salesperson
investor realtions manager
appliance salesperson
private investigator
resume writer
boat salesperson
stay at home mom
corporate writer
houseplant caretaker

Now, I am the inventor and manufacturer of a great line of natural moisturizers and this is the best job I've ever had. There's a lot to be said for making a product that really works and that people really like.

I have two fabulous daughters, 32 and 29 and two adorable granddaughters, 4 and 8 for whom I knit occasionally. I also have a wonderful partner in life and business.

I am "a woman of a certain age" and I think it's grand. Finally I can take up ridiculous sports without worrying about what anyone thinks. And I can state my opinion (of which I have many). And I know what I want - and what I don't want. And I'm cool with a lot more things than I used to be like being late, and angry about a lot more things than I used to be like our deteriorating environment.

I have a wonderful partner, my "brilliant half". It took me three tries to find him - but he's worth the wait!

And I can laugh at myself, which I have to do often. And I can care deeply and love deeply and try really hard and it’s okay if I fail – because I can always try something else. And I can sit and knit in the sun. And I can cry and laugh for no reason or any reason. And I can meditate.

And life may not be easy - but it is, truly grand.
