Oooo! they sound yummy.
Have you had Garlic Scapes? They are the shoots from the garlic plant and they are only available at the beginning of the growing season. They are crunchy and mildly garlicky when eaten raw, absolutely faboo in salad, they freeze well and give a nice mild oniony, garlicky flavor to soups. The Farmers Market here has them in late May/early June.
